Daffy Duck Amigurumi Free Pattern

I continue to share amigurumi free patterns. In this article, daffy duck amigurumi free pattern is waiting for you.

Materials: 

Main yarn of three colors: 

– black yarn (no matter what type of yarn it will be– acrylic, wool, cotton…). 

– yellow yarn 

– white yarn 

I’ve used 100% acrylic 50 gr. – 150 m. and 1.5 mm hook. The finished size is 17.5 cm. 

– black yarn (1.5 – 2 times thinner than the main yarn) 

– embroidery floss of white and black colors for eyes 

– a hook that matches the yarn 

– polyester fiberfill 

– needle 

Note: this toy is crocheted in continuous rounds, do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed. Mark the first stitch of each round.

You have got two cheeks. 

7 ch, 1 sc in the first ch (on the right cheek, first from the first 10 ch) 

12 – 3 more sc in chains, inc, 2 hdc, inc, 2 hdc, sc, 8 sc, sc in the first ch of the second cheek, further in chains – 1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 hdc.inc, inc, 3 sc. 

13 – sc or sl st in chains to the right cheek 

4 sc, (hdc, hdc.inc) 3 times, 13 sc, (hdc.inc, hdc) 3 times, 4 sc, 1 sc in the next st of the beak and in the joining chains at the same time, connecting them together. 

Crochet chains to the lower jaw, or break the yarn and join it in the proper place. 

10 scin front loops, ch, 10 sc from the other side in the remained loops, ch (crocheting the next round just skip these two chains, or you may not crochet them at all if you can)

15 – 5 hdc in the bottom sts, sc in other sts of the round (20)

Tighten the opening, cut the yarn, hide the end inside. 

The peak end of the beak 

Pull the yarn making a chain on the right of the upper part of the beak. Crochet the next row, inserting the hook through sts of upper and lower rows joining them together: 

1 sc, hdc.inc, 1dc, 3 dc in the next st, 1dc, hdc.inc., 1 sc, sl st in the side of the beak, with the end of the yarn sew around the edge. Hide the end of the yarn. 

Now you have a beak as seen below: 

Fix the beak with pins as low as possible. Pull the cheeks as far as possible. Now you can sew it to the head. 

Eyes (make 2) 

With white embroidery floss – 6 strands 

1 – 6 ch, 4 sc, 3 sc to the next st, 3 sc at the other side, 2 sc in the last st, 

2 – inc, 3 sc, 3 inc, 3 sc, 2 inc, 1 sc, sl st. 

Black points – With black embroidery floss – 6 strands – 2 ch, 5 sc into the second st from hook, ch, sl st into the first sc. Sew it to the white eye. 

Or you can just embroider the black part of the eye. 

Eyelids (make 2) 

With black yarn 7 ch, leave both ends long. 

Sew eyelids above the eyes. Pull the ends of yarn through the head to make the hair on the top, cut them leaving about 1 cm. 

Feet and legs (with yellow) 

1 – 14 ch, skip 3 ch, begin from the 4-th ch from hook: 

hdc, 2 sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, 2 sc, hdc, 3 dc in the last ch, continue on the other side of the chains:

Sew the foot so that the filling doesn’t get inside. 

Do not fill the feet. Stuff the leg when it’s more convenient for you.

20 – 24 – 9 sc (5 or 6 rows)

Sew the legs to the body, sew their black parts together. 

Hands and arms (2 times thinner yarn) 

I have crocheted the hands and the arms with the same hook size but with 1.5-2 times thinner yarn. Begin from fingers 

Fingers and thumbs (make 8) 

1 – 2 ch, 7 sc in the second ch from hook 

2 – 6 – 7 sc around 

7 – dec, 5 sc (6) 

Do not cut the yarn on two of the fingers. Continue to crochet hands, connecting the fingers: 

1 – 3 sc in sts of the second finger, 6 sc in sts of the third finger, 3 sc in the remaining sts of the second finger, 6 sc in sts of the first finger (18) 

2 – 5 sc, dec, 7 sc, dec, 2 sc (16) 

3 – 4 – 16 sc 

5 – 16 sc, for the second hand – 12 sc 

6 – crochet the next 2 sc, inserting the hook through the st of hand and st of thumb – connecting them together. 

Leave the other four sts of the thumb till the next round. Continue to crochet the round in sts of the hand (green arrows) 12 sc, new mark. 

For the left hand: (the pattern of the right hand will be further) 

7 – crochet in the 4 sts (you will not need the joined two sts of the thumb any more) of the thumb (blue arrows) and then in sts of the hand.

Cut the yarn, stuff firmly, tighten the opening, pull the yarn end through the hand to the place where it will be sewed to the body. Sew the hands. 

Tail 

The tail consists of three black triangles of different size that are sewed together. Crochet them in rows turning after each row. 

First triangle: 

1 – 7 ch, turn, 6 sc, beginning from the 2-d ch from hook, ch, turn 

2 – inc, 4 sc, inc (8) 

3 – 8 sc, ch, turn 

4 – 8 sc, turn 

5 –without ch,beginning from the second st – 5 sc, dec (6) ch, turn 

6 – 2 sc, dec, 2 sc (5) 

Turn after each row, crochet from the second st from hook, without ch at the beginning:
