8-11: 18 sc (18)

12: Black yarn 18 sc (18)

13-14: Orange yarn 18 sc (18)

15: Black yarn 18 sc (18)

16-17: Orange yarn 18 sc (18)

18: Black yarn 18 sc (18)

19-26: Orange yarn 18 sc (18)

27: Fold in half, crochet 9 sc through both sides

Tail – Tiger Cub Theo

Start with black yarn:

1: 6 sc in MR (6)

2: 6 inc (12)

3-4: 12 sc (12)

5-30: Orange yarn 12 sc (12)

You can add a few black sc randomly to imitate stripes on the tail.

The toy is crocheted as one piece, so the legs, body, and head are crocheted as one piece. The upper paws and tail can be crocheted in or sewn on.

Lower Paws, Body, Head – Tiger Cub Theo

Make two identical pieces. Do not cut the yarn on the second piece, continue to crochet the body by joining the first piece.

First Lower Paw – Tiger Cub Theo

1: 6 sc in MR (6)

2: 6 inc (12)

Finish the first piece, fasten off with a sl st and cut the yarn.

Crochet the second lower paw similarly but do not cut the yarn (both colors: black and orange). Continue to crochet the body.

Switch the black yarn to orange according to the description below and cut the black yarn only after finishing row 43.

15: 4 ch, 24 sc on the first piece, 4 sc on the ch, 24 sc on the second piece, 4 sc on the ch (56)

16: 56 sc (56)

17: 6 sc, inc, (5 sc, inc)*3, (2 sc, inc)*2, (5 sc, inc)*3, 6 sc, inc (66)

18-23: 66 sc (66)

In row 22 or 23, you can crochet in the tail symmetrically on the side without the joining of black and orange yarn.

This side will be the back.

For example, 30 sc, 6 sc with the tail, 30 sc (66)

24: (9 sc, dec)*6 (60)

25: 60 sc (60)

26: 14 sc, dec, 28 sc, dec, 14 sc (58)

41: (6 sc, dec)*6 (42)

42: 42 sc (42)

43: Black yarn 42 sc (42)

Here you can fasten off and cut the black yarn.

44: Orange yarn (5 sc, dec)*6 (36)

45: 36 sc (36)

46: (4 sc, dec)*6 (30)

47: 30 sc (30)

Muzzle – Tiger Cub Theo

Crochet with white yarn:

1: 6 sc in MR (6)

2: 6 inc (12)

3: 2 sc, (3 sc in 1 st)*2, 4 sc, (3 sc in 1 st)*2, 2 sc (20)

4: 4 sc, 3 inc, 7 sc, 3 inc, 3 sc (26)

5: 6 sc, 2 inc, 11 sc, 2 inc, 5 sc (30)

6-7: 30 sc

Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving enough length for sewing. Insert the nose between rows 3 and 4. Sew the muzzle to the head as close as possible to the lower edge of the eyes. Do not forget to add stuffing!

IMPORTANT! To hide the places where the black and orange yarns join on the body, turn this side to the front and sew the muzzle to the head accordingly.

Ears – Tiger Cub Theo

Crochet 2 identical pieces:

1: 6 sc in MR (6)

2: 6 inc (12)

3: (1 sc, inc)*6 (18)

4: (2 sc, inc)*6 (24)

5-6: 24 sc (24)

Sew the ears symmetrically to the head.

Next, crochet the chest with white Alize Softy (or Softy Plus) in an oval shape using any scheme or randomly so that it fits the size of the toy from row 25-26 to the neck level. Sew symmetrically to the body. If the chest is the right size, it will completely cover the places where the black and orange yarns join.

Next, embroider eyebrows and muzzle with black thread and eyelids above the eyes with orange thread.

Congratulations, your tiger cub is ready!
