Mouth
Crochet with the same color as the muzzle:
1 Row: 6 sc in MC
2 Row: 6 inc (12)
Cut the yarn, leave a tail for sewing.
Assembly and Tightening:
Sew the muzzle right under the eyes of the bull and proceed with tightening.
1st tightening: Take a large needle and strong thread (I use YarnArt Jeans), fold it in half. Insert the needle from the back of the head, opposite the right eye, the one on your right when you’re holding the toy’s face towards you, bring it out on the outside of the right eye, pull the thread (leave a small tail of thread behind the head). Insert again from the inside of the right eye and bring out from the inside of the left eye. Insert again from the outside of the left eye and bring out through the same hole where you inserted the needle at the very beginning.
NOTE: The tightening thread should pass above the eyes. Tighten it well, tie a knot, and hide the thread.
2nd tightening: Take a large needle and strong thread (I use YarnArt Jeans), fold it in half. Insert the needle slightly below the center of the muzzle, one loop to the left of the previous hole. Bring out the thread on the outside of the right eye, insert it from the inside of the right eye. Again, insert from the outside of the left eye, bring out at the bottom where the thread end is sticking out on the muzzle. In this tightening, the thread should pass at the bottom of the eyes. Tie a knot and trim the thread, hiding it.
3rd tightening: Take the same thread, insert one end in the middle of the muzzle, one loop to the left of the previous one. Bring the thread end out at the top of the muzzle, exactly from the inside of the right eye.
Take the other free end of the thread, insert it one loop to the right of the hole at the bottom of the muzzle, bring it out from the inside of the left eye, right above the muzzle.
Hold the thread at both ends, tighten and tie a knot in the middle. Hide the thread.
Use black thread to embroider eyelashes and eyebrows, and if desired, the whites of the eyes from the outside of each eye. Before attaching the head, I connect it to the body using a long thick knitting needle, so the center doesn’t shift, and the head is securely attached.
Sew the head to the body with strong thread, I also use YarnArt Jeans. Sew the arms directly under the head, right above the legs. Attach the ears on the sides, 3 rows above the eyes. Attach the horns, leaving 1 row of space above the ears.
To create the tuft or bow for the bull, use merino wool for felting and sew it securely to the head with sewing thread.
