Legs + Skates

Start with turquoise yarn (or the one you’ve chosen) for skates:

Row 1: CH 10 + 1, SC in the 3rd CH from the hook, 7 SC, 5 SC in the last CH loop. Continue on the other side of the chain: 8 SC, SS (21).

Row 2: CH 2, HDC, INC in HDC, 6 HDC, 2 INC in HDC, 2 HDC, 2 INC in HDC, 6 HDC, INC in HDC, HDC, SS (28).

Row 3: CH 1, 10 SC, 2 INC in SC, 5 INC in HDC, 2 INC in SC, 10 SC, SS (38).

Row 4: 38 SC in the back loop.

Row 5: 38 SC in the back loop.

Row 6: 38 SC.

Row 7: 10 SC, (DEC, 1 SC) x 6, 10 SC (32).

Row 8: 12 SC, (DEC, 1 SC) x 2, DEC, 12 SC (29).

Row 9: 8 SC, 6 DEC, 9 SC (23).

Row 10: 8 SC, 3 DEC, 9 SC (20).

Row 11: 8 SC, 2 DEC, 8 SC (18).

Row 12: 18 SC.

Stuff the skates well.

!! Row 13: 18 SC in the front loops of the stitches (boot edges). Fasten off, cut the yarn, and hide it.

Change yarn color to beige.

!! Row 13: Work in the back loops (4 SC, DEC) x 3 (15). Refer to the photo.

Rows 14-45 (32 rows): 15 SC.

Row 46: (4 SC, INC) x 3 (18).

Row 47: 18 SC.

Row 48: (2 SC, INC) x 6 (24).

When making the second leg, do not cut the yarn!

Skate Blade

Iris yarn in light gray, crochet hook No. 1.0 mm.

Crochet 2 pieces, each 4 cm long: 8 SC in magic ring, work in rounds. At the end, make 4 DEC, pull the hole closed. Stuff lightly so it can be bent during sewing. Crochet 4 short pieces, each 0.5 cm long (approximately 3 rows): 8 SC in MR. At the end, do not close the hole, just fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff the pieces. Sew the pieces together, then sew them to the leg as shown in the photo. Create an imitation of laces on the boots.

Join the legs.

Note!

After joining the legs, there may be a slight deformation, i.e., one leg may be slightly larger than the other. However, this difference will disappear when stuffed. But if this bothers you significantly, you can swap rows 47 and 48 on the legs.

Row 47: (2 SC, INC) x 6 (24), Row 48: for the first leg, 24 SC, for the second leg, 10 SC, i.e., do not finish this row to the end, only to the middle of the inner side of the leg. This adjustment can only be made on the second leg, it won’t affect the appearance, but it will align the legs.

For the second leg, crochet 10 SC to the middle of the inner side and make 3 CH, then find the middle on the other leg and join them together. Note that the seam is at the back of the body, so join the legs with the heels facing you. Continue working in rounds:

Row 49: 24 SC around the leg + 3 SC over the chain + 24 SC around the leg + 3 SC over the chain (54). Place a marker.

Rows 50-55 (6 rows): 54 SC.

Change yarn color to light pink.

Row 56: 54 SC.

Row 57: 54 SC in the back loop.

Row 58: 54 SC.

Change yarn color to beige.

Rows 59-67 (9 rows): 54 SC.

Stuff the lower part of the body. Stuff lightly around the hips because after row 45, we will sew the legs with stitches so the toy can sit.

Row 68: (7 SC, DEC) x 6 (48).

Rows 69-70: 48 SC.

Row 71: (6 SC, DEC) x 6 (42).

Rows 72-73: 42 SC.

Row 74: (5 SC, DEC) x 6 (36).

Rows 75-76: 36 SC.

Rows 78-79: 30 SC.

Row 80: (3 SC, DEC) x 6 (24).

Row 81: 24 SC.

Stuff the piece firmly. Do not cut the yarn!

Row 99: (9 SC, DEC) x 6 (60).

Row 100: (8 SC, DEC) x 6 (54).

Row 101: (7 SC, DEC) x 6 (48).

Row 102: (6 SC, DEC) x 6 (42).

Row 103: (5 SC, DEC) x 6 (36).

Row 106: (2 SC, DEC) x 6 (18).

Row 108: 6 DEC.

Pull the loops tight, close the hole, cut the yarn, and hide it.

Skirt:

In the 57th row, we have front loops left. Attach the light pink yarn and crochet:

Row 1: 54 SC

Row 2: CH 2, INC in each SC, SS at the end of the row.

Row 3: CH 2, (1 SC, INC in SC) across, SS at the end of the row.

Lightly stuff the tail and sew it under the skirt.

Paws:

Crochet mittens (2 pieces).

Start with turquoise yarn.

Row 1: 6 SC in magic ring (6).

Row 2: 6 INC (12).

Row 3: (2 SC, INC) repeat 4 times (16).

Rows 4-6: 16 SC.

Row 10: (2 SC, DEC) repeat 4 times (12).

Row 11: 12 SC in the front loops (mitten edges). Fasten off, cut the yarn, and hide it.

Crochet a finger: join the yarn in row 8 and crochet 6 SC in the front loops. Tighten the hole well and hide the yarn. Stuff the mitten and the finger.

Change yarn color to beige and continue crocheting the paw.

Row 11: 12 SC.

Rows 12-27 (16 rows): 12 SC.

Row 4: 2 SC, 3 INC, 6 SC, 3 INC, 4 SC (24).

Row 5: 3 SC, (INC, 1 SC) repeat 3 times, 6 SC, (INC, 1 SC) repeat 3 times, 3 SC (30).

Rows 6-9: 30 SC.

Sew the muzzle to the head around row 94, and stuff as you sew.

Muzzle Decoration:

Attach the nose between rows 3-4 of the muzzle. I made a slight indent under the nose and around the mouth. Sew the ears to the head, sewing one ear in around row 5 so it can fold. Sew on the bead eyes, glue felt pieces (I cut crescents out of felt and glue them around the beads in a circle). Embroider eyelashes and mouth.

Crochet red cheeks: 12 SC in magic ring.

Scarf:

Using 2.5 mm knitting needles, cast on 6 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

The scarf is knitted in stockinette stitch: knit rows – knit stitches, purl rows – purl stitches. Do not knit the first edge stitch, knit the last edge stitch with purl. The scarf consists of alternating 5 rows of turquoise yarn and 5 rows of pink yarn. After casting on, work the pattern of alternating stripes 6 times. Knit the scarf to a length of 28 cm or longer. Bind off all stitches. Decorate the scarf with fringe. For this, cut lengths of both colors of yarn about 11 cm long. Fold the yarn in half and use a hook to pull the loop (the fold) through the back side of the scarf. Insert the two free ends of the yarn through the loop and pull tight.

Mask:

Cut a mask out of red felt (I have stiff felt about 1.2 mm thick). Attach the red elastic thread matching the mask color and decorate the head of our dog.

Now, our beauty is ready!
