🎄 New Year’s Hat

Worked in joined rounds with HDC.
Each round starts with CH 2 and ends with sl st.

1️⃣ Determine the starting chain length by measuring around the pig’s head.
2️⃣ Join to form a circle and crochet in rounds.
3️⃣ First 4 rounds: HDC in each stitch.

Then begin shaping:

  • After changing color, make first decrease at back of hat.
  • Crochet halfway around, make second decrease at front.
  • Next round: make decreases at both front and back.
  • Alternate these two decrease rounds until hat closes.

Decorate with pom-pom, tassel, or bells.

🧵 Assembly

Add hat and decorate as desired.

Sew head to body.

Attach arms and legs symmetrically.

Sew ears to top of head.

Attach cheeks under the eyes.

Sew heels to boots if making detailed version.
