For SNOWMAN, you will need: 

White and colored yarn (I used blue and orange, dark blue) – I used acrylic yarn “Pekhorka.” 

Polyester fiberfill (stuffing) 

Safety eyes (10mm or 0.8mm, depending on your preference) 

Crochet hook 1.75mm (or 2mm) 

Yarn needle 

Black or dark brown embroidery floss (for mouth) 

Scissors 

The SNOWMAN measures approximately 30 cm (excluding the legs) when using the recommended yarn.

HEAD 

Begin with white yarn. 

Row 1: 6 single crochet (SC) in a magic ring. 

Row 2: 6 increase (12).

Row 2: Increase, 7 SC, 3 increases, 7 SC, 2 increases (26). 

Row 3: Increase, SC, 7 SC, (increase, SC)*3, 7 SC, (increase, SC)*2 (32). 

Row 4: Increase, 2 SC, 7 SC, (increase, 2 SC)*3, 7 SC, (increase, 2 SC)*2 (38). 

Row 5: Increase, 3 SC, 7 SC, (increase, 3 SC)*3, 7 SC, (increase, 3 SC)*2 (44). 

Row 6: Crochet in the back loops only, 44 SC. 

You can use a different color for the sole.

Return to row 25 and crochet 21 SC with white yarn. Crochet 25 more rows with 21 SC, then a row of (5 SC, increase)*3 (24), 2 rows of 24 SC, (2 SC, decrease)*6 (30), 2 rows of 30 SC, and finish off with a slip stitch (SS). 

Stuff the boots firmly as you go, leaving the legs flexible (they should bend at the knees). 

PANTS AND BODY 

Use blue yarn, join with a slip stitch (SS) to create a circle. 

Rows 1-2: 30 SC. 

Rows 3-4: Use orange yarn, 30 SC. 

Rows 5-16: Blue color, 30 SC (work the 13th row in the front loops only). On the 13th row, attach the leg to the back loops. You need 2 pieces like this. 

Row 17: To make the boot toes face forward, crochet 23 SC on one leg from the marker, and on the other leg, join with 8 SC. Connect the two pieces with 3 chain stitches, then crochet around with 66 SC. 

Rows 18-20: 66 SC. 

Row 21: (10 SC, increase)*6 (72). 

Rows 22-35: (14 rows) 72 SC; Row 34: crochet in the front loops and close with SS.

Palm 

Row 1: 6 SC in a magic ring (leave a longer tail for attaching the fingers later). 

Row 2: 6 increase (12). 

Row 3: (1 SC, increase)*6 (18). 

Row 4: (5 SC, increase)*3 (21). 

Rows 5-7: (21 SC). 

Place a marker on the 1st SC. 

Row 8: 9 SC, 3 SC around the finger, 9 SC (25). 

Row 9: 8 SC, decrease (at the connection with the finger), 6 SC around the finger, decrease (at the connection with the finger), 7 SC (23 SC). 

Row 10: Decrease, 6 SC, decrease, 5 SC (finger), decrease, 5 SC (20).

Rows 12-13: 18 SC. 

Crochet 18 SC around the front loops. 

Finish with 2 rows of white yarn (Alize Softy). 

HANDS 

Continue crocheting the hand starting from the 13th row on the back loops (use white yarn) – 18 SC. 

Continue crocheting 28 rows with 18 SC. Stuff the gloves firmer as you go; the hands should be less stuffed. 

SCARF 

Use colored yarn. 

Row 1: Chain 71. 

Row 2: 70 SC. 

Rows 3-5 (or 6, as desired): 70 SC, slip stitch (SS) to join. Crochet 2 rows of white yarn (Alize Softy) around the edges. 

You can also knit the scarf with knitting needles if you prefer. 

CARROT 

Row 1: Chain 2, join to form a ring (leave a longer tail for attaching later). 

Rows 2-3: 12 SC. 

Row 4: 4 SC, decrease, 4 SC, decrease (10 SC). 

Row 5: 3 SC, decrease, 3 SC, decrease (8 SC). 

Row 6: 8 SC. 

Row 7: Decrease 2 times, then pull the thread tight. 

Assemble the snowman, placing the carrot between the rows. Optionally, you can dress the snowman in a hat.
