Materials Needed 

(When using these materials, the spider’s length is 7 cm, height 4.5 cm) 

Yarn: 

YarnArt Jeans (160 m / 50 g) 

a)Color 28 (black) for the main color (small amount) 

b)Color 03 (milk) for crocheting eye whites 

c)Color 85 (orange) for crocheting the hat 

YarnArt Mink (75 m / 50 g) 

Color 346 (black) for crocheting the abdomen 

Can be replaced with yarn of similar meterage. 

Crochet hook size 1.75 mm 

Stuffing (polyester fiberfill) 

2 sew-on beads with a diameter of 5 mm for eyes 

Needle, scissors, marker, dressmaking pins, black sewing thread 

Abbreviations: 

mr – magic ring 

sc – single crochet 

inc – increase 

dec – decrease 

ch – chain stitch 

ss – slip stitch 

PATTERN

Abdomen – Halloween Spider

Begin crocheting with textured yarn. 

1: Ch 2, 6 sc in the first stitch (6) 

2: Inc x6 (12) 

3: (1 sc, inc) x6 (18) 

4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24) 

5-8: (24) for 4 rows 

Switch to YarnArt Jeans black yarn. Cut the textured yarn, secure with a knot on the wrong side.

Stuff the piece. 

12: (1 sc, dec) x6 (12) Finish the last stitch with a slip stitch. Cut the yarn, leaving a long end for sewing the head. 

Head (black) – Halloween Spider

Cut the yarn, leaving a 15 cm tail. Thread through the front loops of the last row, carefully tighten the hole, and hide the thread inside the piece. 

To crochet the second part of the leg, join the yarn (joining point indicated by the arrow in the photo) and crochet as follows: 

Legs -Halloween Spider 

(6 pieces, black color, not stuffed) 

1: 6 sc in mr 

2: Inc x6 (12) 

3: (12) 

Next, divide the piece into 2 parts as follows: count 6 stitches clockwise from the starting point, join the first and sixth stitches with a slip stitch. Do not cut the yarn. Crochet the first part of the leg (crochet direction shown by the arrow in the photo). 

4: 4 sc, inc (6) 

5-8: (6) for 4 rows 

9: 2 ss, 4 sc (6) (2 ss form the bend of the leg) 

10: 6 sc 

Cut the yarn, leaving a 15 cm tail. Thread through the front loops of the last row, carefully tighten the hole, and hide the thread inside the piece.

3: 5 sc, fold the piece in half and crochet 3 sc through both parts. Cut the yarn, leaving a long end for sewing. 

Eye Whites – Halloween Spider

(2 pieces, milk color) 

1: 6 sc in mr (6) 

Join the beginning and end of the row with a slip stitch, cut the yarn, leaving a long end for sewing. 

Head Decoration 

Sew on the eye whites, placing them above the nose, with a distance of 1 sc between the circles. 

Attach the beads to the circles, placing them at the bottom of the circles, as shown in the photo. 

Embroider the nose with YarnArt Jeans yarn in the main color (dividing it into 4 thin threads, use two of the four threads). 

Under the 8th row of the head (counting from the top), make 4 horizontal stitches in the center, each stitch spanning 2 sc. Then, inserting the needle under these stitches, make the necessary number of vertical stitches until the nose becomes convex (See photos 1-3). 

Assembly 

Under the 5th row of the head (counting from the top), sew the torso. 

Attach the first pair of legs as follows: place the legs on the inside of the abdomen above its 8th row (the row crocheted with textured yarn). The distance between the legs is 1 cm. Secure the legs with pins, place the spider, it should rest on the legs. If necessary, adjust the position of the legs, then sew them on three sides (indicated by arrows in the photo). 

Attach the next two pairs of legs in the same way.

Hat – Halloween Spider

Begin crocheting with orange yarn. 

1: 4 sc in mr (4) 

2: Inc x4 (8) 

3: (8) 

4: (1 sc, inc) x4 (12) 

Switch to black yarn, do not cut the orange yarn. 

5: Black yarn (12) 

6: Orange yarn 

Ch 2, in the same stitch make 1 ss, then make 11 sc in ss, ss (24) 

Cut the black yarn and secure. Cut the orange yarn, leaving a long end for sewing the hat to the head. 

Sew on the hat.
