LEGS (Make 2) – Curly Doll:

1: 6 sc in magic ring

2: 6 inc (12 sc)

3: (5 sc, inc) 2 times (14 sc)

4-27: 14 sc

Stuff arms and legs only at the very bottom. Fold the opening at the top in half and close with slip stitches.

DRESS (Crochet with linen yarn):

1: Chain 42 + 3 ch (counts as 1st dc). Work 41 dc in the back loops of the chain. Turn (42 dc)

2: (6 dc, inc) * 6. Turn (48 dc)

3: (7 dc, inc) * 6. Turn (54 dc)

8: (12 dc, inc) 6 times. Do not turn, finish this row with slip stitch.

9: 84 dc evenly around the edge (168 dc)

10-13: 168 dc each row

14: Work an edging for the hem of the dress: (2 sc, picot) 84. Put the dress on the doll and sew together both halves of the back of the dress.

DRESS STRAPS (Make 2):

1: Chain 3 + 3 ch (counts as 1st dc). Work 2 dc starting from the fourth ch from the hook.

2-25: Turn rows of 3 dc each.

Sew the straps on the front with buttons and cross them at the back.

To attach the doll’s head, sew it in a way that the top part of the head (where we started crocheting) is centered at the front. Visually, the first two rows of the head will resemble the doll’s nose.

For the hair, attach yarn to the last row of the doll’s head and crochet in rounds for each row of hair. Leave one or two stitches between rows. To crochet one row, chain 40 + 1 ch (counts as 1st sc). Work 40 sc in the back loops, starting from the second ch from the hook. Continue crocheting in rounds until the doll’s hairstyle is to your liking. I placed a linen headband between the last two rows of hair.

1: Chain 6. Work 5 sc in the back loops.

2-70: Turn rows of 5 sc each. Sew together the first and last rows.

BOW FOR HEADBAND:

1: Chain 3. Work 2 sc in the back loops, starting from the fourth ch from the hook.
