Materials Needed: 

Yarn Art Jeans or Alize Cotton Gold in beige, dark brown, white, pink, raspberry, and lilac colors. 

Thin cotton yarn (Yarn Art Begonia) in white, black, dark brown for the eyes, and pink, raspberry, and white for the decorations on the leggings. 

And, of course, a good mood! 

Doctor Doll Pattern

Doctor Doll Step 1: Head 

Using beige yarn. Stuff as you go. 

1: 6 sc in a magic ring 

2: 6 inc (12) 

3: 1 sc, inc around (18) 

4: 2 sc, inc around (24) 

5: 3 sc, inc around (30) 

6: 4 sc, inc around (36) 

7: 5 sc, inc around (42) 

8: 6 sc, inc around (48) 

9: 7 sc, inc around (54)

Hair 

Using dark brown yarn. Do not stuff. 

1: 6 sc in a magic ring

Mark the stitch and continue to crochet the bangs in rows: 

1: 26 sc, ch 1, turn, 26 sc back, repeat for 3 more rows. You will have 5 rows of bangs. At the end of the 5th row, crochet around the side with sc and make 2 slip stitches (these 2 stitches will serve as a separator for our two parts of the bangs). 

For the second part (slightly larger but also 5 rows): 

1: sc, hdc, inc with dc, 3 dc, inc with dc, 3 dc, inc with dc, hdc, 27 sc. For the next 4 rows, crochet back and forth with sc without increases. 

Sew the hair to the head. Sew the first and second parts of the bangs together at the back. 

Doctor Doll Step 2: Braids 

Using dark brown yarn, make two pieces. Stuff as you go. 

1: 6 sc in a magic ring 

2: 6 inc (12) 

3-5: 12 sc 

6: 6 dec (6) 

7-9: 6 sc 

10: 1 sc, inc x3 (9) 

11-13: 9 sc 

14: 1 sc, dec x3 (6) 

15: 1 sc, inc x3 (9) 

16: 2 sc, inc x3 (12) 

17: 12 sc 

18: 3 sc, inc x3 (15) 

Finish off and leave a long tail for sewing. Sew the braids as shown in the photo. Use pink yarn to embroider the hair ties. 

Eyes 

Using thin cotton yarn (Yarn Art Begonia, hook No. 1.5) in black, dark brown, and white colors. 

Using black yarn: 

1: 6 sc in a magic ring 

Using dark brown yarn: 

2: 6 inc (12) 

Using white yarn: 

3: 2 sc, inc with hdc, inc with dc, inc with hdc, 3 sc, inc with hdc, inc with dc, inc with hdc, 1 sc. 

Finish off and leave a long tail for sewing. Sew the eyes to the head. Embroider eyelashes, eyebrows, nose, freckles, and mouth. 

For the ears: In one stitch (ch 3, 3 dc, ch 3, slip stitch). 

Headband: Using lilac yarn, chain 40, crochet one row of sc. Sew to the head. 

Flower: Using pink yarn, in a magic ring: (ch 3, dc, ch 3, slip stitch) x5 petals. Sew to the headband, decorate with a plastic button. 

Doctor Doll Step 3: Legs (make two) 

Start with white yarn. Crochet like the sole for baby booties. 

1: Chain 9, inc in the second chain from the hook, 6 sc, 4 sc in the last chain, continue on the other side of the chain, 6 sc, inc. Place a marker and start crocheting in rounds. 

2: inc, sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, sc, 2 inc, sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, sc, inc 

3: 2 inc, 2 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 2 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc

Change to raspberry yarn. 

7: Crochet in back loops only 12 sc (1 sc, dec) x6, 12 sc (36)

Finish off and cut the yarn. Make decorations for the leggings. I made 9 decorations for each leg using 10 elongated stitches in a magic ring. Sew all decorations to the leggings. Embroider laces on the sneakers. 

For the tongue of the sneakers, pick up stitches from the 12th row. I made 2 rows of 3 sc. 

Doctor Doll Step 4: Body 

Take the legs and join them with 3 sc. Place a marker and continue crocheting in rounds to form the body. 

Using pink yarn, stuff as you go. 

37-41: 48 sc 

Change to lilac yarn. 

42: 48 sc 

43-44: Crochet in back loops only 48 sc 

45: 48 sc 

Change to white yarn.

Doctor Doll Step 6: Apron 

Using white yarn. Chain 19, 18 sc. Continue crocheting in rows with turning chains. From the 12th row, crochet 4 sc, ch 8, skip 10 stitches, crochet 4 sc. Continue crocheting in rows with turning chains. Make the straps as follows: Chain 15, crochet back with sc to the end of the row. On the other side, make the same. Sew the apron to the body. 

Embroider the letters “Dr.” using black and white yarn.
