19-27: 12 sc around (9 rounds).
For the skirt ruffles, crochet three rows (for the back loops of stitches of the 4th, 7th, and 10th rounds) using the following pattern:
Turn the torso upside down.
1: Attach the thread, ch 2, in the same stitch 1 sl st, then in each st, work 2 sl st until the end of the row, sl st.
2: Ch 2, work 1 sl st in each st until the end of the row, sl st.
3: Ch 2, work 1 sl st in each st until the end of the row, sl st.
Fasten off the thread and hide it.
For the top decoration, in the 30th round of the torso, attach the thread (keeping the torso upside down), and crochet as follows: ch 2, in the next stitch, work 3 half double crochets with picot, sl st, in the next stitch, work 3 half double crochets with picot, sl st, continue to the end of the row.
Face decoration. Headband. Assembling the pieces.
Face decoration.
Create indentations for the eyes between the 14th and 15th rounds, leaving 8 stitches between them, thus forming the nose. Sew on the eyes, embroider the nose, eyelashes, and eyebrows. Sew the ears around the 8th round of the head.
Headband.
For the headband, chain 54, then starting from the third chain from the hook, work 1 sl st until the end. Then turn, ch 2, and work 1 sl st until the end, fasten off, and sew the two ends of the headband together (on the dog’s head). Hide the thread inside the head, thus sewing the headband. Sew an embellishment onto the headband (I used a flower made of puff stitches).
Collar.
For the collar, chain 22, then starting from the third chain from the hook, work 1 sl st until the end. Fasten off the thread, decorate the collar as desired, put it around the dog’s neck, and sew it.
Wishing everyone easy stitches!
