Stuffing (polyester fiberfill, hollowfiber, or similar) 

Cotton-blend yarn 

Beads for eyes 

Crochet hook size 1.5 mm 

Two knitting needles (for scarf) 

Abbreviations (US terms): 

sc – single crochet 

inc – increase (2 sc in the same stitch) 

dec – decrease (sc 2 stitches together) 

sl st – slip stitch 

ch – chain 

elongated sc – insert hook into stitch one round below, pull up a loop and complete a sc 

The pattern begins with the legs, continues into the body, and then the head. 

Amigurumi Bear Pattern 

Left Leg 

1: 6 sc in a magic ring 

2: inc × 6 (12) 

3: (1 sc, inc) × 6 (18) 

4: (2 sc, inc) × 6 (24) 

5–13: 24 sc (9 rounds) 

At the end of Round 13: sl st, ch 1, fasten off. 

Right Leg 

1–13: same as Left Leg 

Do not fasten off. Continue to join legs and begin body.

Ch 2 from the right leg 

Insert hook into the stitch on the left leg where the sl st was made, work 1 sc 

Mark this as the new round start 

From here, continue counting rounds:
