2 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide with 3.25 mm hook, and white Aran weight yarn, ch 2
Rnd 1: 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook (7 total sts)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around (14 total sts)
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rpt from * until end of rnd (21 total sts)
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, rpt from * until end of rnd (28 total sts)
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, rpt from * until end of rnd (35 total sts)
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts, rpt from * until end of rnd (42 total sts)
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts, rpt from * until end of rnd (49 total sts)

Fasten o and weave in ends. Insert 9 mm safety eyes between rounds 3 and 4 with 8 stitches in between. With yarn needle stitch on mouth. See picture 1.
Outer Shell:
with 3.25 mm hook and brown Aran weight yarn, ch 2
Rnd 1: 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook (7 total sts)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around (14 total sts)
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rpt
from * until end of rnd (21 total sts)
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, rpt
from * until end of rnd (28 total sts)
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts,
rpt from * until end of rnd (35 total sts)
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts, rpt from * until end of rnd (42 total sts)
Rnd 7: sc in each st around (42 total sts)
Rnd 8: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts, rpt from * until end of rnd (49 total sts)

Rnd 18: change to white yarn, working in BLO, sc in each st around (49 total sts)
Do NOT cut yarn. Place a handful of ber ll stung inside the bottom of the outer shell.
Flatten and spread evenly.
Place the white inner fruit piece inside the outer shell and join the two pieces together by lining up the stitches from round 12 of inner fruit and round 18 of the outer shell.
With the white yarn used to make the outer shell, sc in each stitch around working in the FLO of round 18 of the outer shell and both loops of round 12 of the inner fruit. Fasten o and weave in ends. See picture 2.
Coconut Drink:
Instructions are the exact same except for the placement of the safety eyes and the addition of the drinking straw and hibiscus ower.
Insert 9 mm safety eyes between rounds 12 and 13 (of the outer shell) with 5 stitches in between. With yarn needle stitch on mouth, eyelashes, and cheeks. See picture 3.
Hibiscus Flower:
with 2.5 mm hook and DK yarn make a magic loop
Rnd 1: *ch 8, sl st sl in magic loop, rpt from* 5 times total
Rnd 2: *sl st in next ch-8 space + ch 2 + 12 dc + ch 2 + sl st same ch-8 sp, rpt from * 5 times total
Fasten o and weave in ends. Arrange petals so that one side of each petal is behind the next petal. See picture 4. Attach ower to the coconut.
Straw:
with 2.5 mm hook and pink DK weight yarn
Rnd 1: ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook
Rnd 2-17: sc in each st around (5 total sts)
Insert chenille stem and bend to form the straw. Fasten o and leave a long yarn tail.
With yarn needle, weave the tail through FLO to close the opening. Using the BLO, sew straw to the inside of the coconut.
